Want a selfie ready face? Try Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur. I am not kidding. This is one of the best pore refining primers that I have tried so far. Let me explain the whole thing down below.
About three months ago, I got the Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh. I was very excited to get this product, as I have read so many good reviews about it.
At this point, you are probably asking yourself what is this thing and why should you use it?
Well, the Etude House Face Blur is a cross between a lightweight BB cream and a primer. It also comes with a spf of 15,
According to their website,
“This lightweight cream provides multi-filtering effects for instantly refined and smooth skin.
The texture is smooth but it minimizes pores and brighten complexion”
What they claim:
– Covers pores and bumpy skin to make skin look flawless.
– Softening skin layer like filter effect to give smooth and even skin layer.
– Natural whitening skin to make dark skin look bright and cover imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life.
– Baby pixel powder and cover powder compounds give 3-in-1 multi filter effect like adjusting light on skin.
Now, those are some really big claims. Only Disney princesses have flawless skin, virtually non-existent pores and bright complexion and let’s face it girls, we are no Disney princess.
So, while we are at it, let’s take a pick at their ingredients list, shall we?
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane (solvent emollient)
, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate(sunscreen agent), Butylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate(emolient), Peg-10 Dimethicone(surfactant emolient), Zinc Oxide (Ci 77947)(astringent/sunscreen), Phenyl Trimethicone, Dimethicone, Pentylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)(pigment/sunscreen), Glycerin(solvent/moisturizer), Sorbitan Isostearate(emulsifier),
Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Magnesium Sulfate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer,Hydrogenated Castor Oil Isostearate, Aluminum Hydroxide,Silica(all of these are for viscosity control)
Tribehenin (emollient), Glyceryl Behenate/Eicosadioate( emolient/emulsifier), , Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hdi/Trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium Edta, Fragrance(Parfum), Phenoxyethanol(preservative), and lets not forget the pigments
Mica (Ci 77019), Iron Oxides (Ci 77492), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491)
Most of the ingredients are on the safer side and Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate can effectively block UV-A and UV-B rays.
Like all things Korean, the packaging is really pretty. It comes in a peach colored bottle with a spray pump, which is ever so thoughtful of Etude House. You get enough products through the pump dispenser.
I’m not sure about you guys, but I just love the scent of this thing. Remember the “Cute” cream our mothers used to use in the 90’s.This has the exact smell ❤ ❤ ❤
How to Apply:
Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur is a slightly liquid textured cream that is very easy to apply on your face. You will also get a slight pearlised sheen on your face after applying.
What I love about this face blur is, it’s not silicone-y like other primers. And there’s not any sticky feeling as well.
This is a completely unedited photo, in case you are wondering. Will you look at the blurring effect? And also the instant glow? I’m wearing the Maybelline Fit me Matte and Pore-less here. And as you all know, that foundation can make your skin pretty matte. But nonetheless, I am still glowing and my skin looks so radiant.
Lasting Power :
I wore this throughout the day and I did see the foundation vanishing near my T-zone and the corner of my mouth after 3 hours
This is the only point where this product shows mediocrity.
Overall, I’d give this a rating of 4.5/5
But you can buy from ebay as well.
If you want to add some luminescence into your skin, this is a must have.
Do let me know your thoughts.
Till then, Love.
